A display structure comprises an elongated pole member 20 having at least one longitudinal groove 23 opening to the outer surface with stepped side walls presenting at least two steps of increased groove width outwardly from the pole axis, at least one of the side walls having longitudinal rib formations at each of the steps to selectively co-operate with a screw-threaded clamping member having a diameter corresponding to the width of the selected groove step. Fittings may also be secured to the pole by pairs of clamp plates which engage ridge formations of adjoining grooves.
