Abstract

New compounds of formula <FORM:1040736/C2/1> where R is hydrogen or methyl, and their acid addition salts, are prepared from the unhalogenated compounds by reaction with an iodination agent in an amount corresponding to at least 4 gramme-atoms of iodine per gramme molecule of starting material. Therapeutic compositions comprise the new hypertensive compounds with carriers for oral, parenteral, rectal and topical administration.
