An automatic non-compression starting device for an internal-combustion engine comprises means for normally maintaining the device in a non-compression position and means for automatically releasing the non-compression device when the engine reaches a predetermined speed. As shown lubricating oil pressure in a compartment 12 operates upon a diaphragm 11 to release a non-compression lever 20 when the engine speed reaches a predetermined value.
