Abstract
1,033,244. Air conditioning. J. PROSVIC. Dec. 18, 1964 [Feb. 27, 1963], No. 8193/64. Heading F4V. An air purifier adapted to be mounted above a stove or fume-producing device comprises a hood 1 having a central air outlet 5 and houses a casing formed of baffles 7 and 8 which contains in an upper compartment a radial flow drum-type electric blower 6 and in a lower compartment horizontally extending deodorizing and filter means 11 and 12, the casing at its lower end extending into a drip tray 13, the sides 18 of which together with the hood 1 and a baffle 14 provide an air inlet throat 10 leading to the space between the tray and filter means 12. The deodorizing means 11 comprises a flat canister containing activated charcoal and the filter means a wire mesh. A light 17 may be mounted behind a window in baffle 14.
