1,032,484. Photographic apparatus. PIGNONS S.A. Jan. 29, 1965 [Feb.13, 1964], No. 4003/65. Heading G2A. In a photo-electric exposure control arrangement, the output of an exposure regulating photocell, produced by parasitic light from sources not to be recorded by the camera, is balanced out electrically by the output of a compensating cell which is positioned to receive light, in full face, from these sources. In a reflex camera (Fig 1, not shown), the photo-cells are mounted between the pentaprism and the eye lens of a viewfinder eyepiece and face in opposite directions. The cells may be connected in bridge circuits (Figs 2-4, not shown) having a resistor or potentiometer which can be varied to return a galvanometer pointer to a reference index. Alternatively, the galvanometer G may give a reading corresponding to the exposure, as determined by photo-cell 8 and modified by compensating photo-cell 9. Suitably selected resistors R8 and R9 are provided.
