Abstract

1,030,388. Clamp fastenings. HOLLISTER Inc. Aug. 18, 1964 [Oct. 10, 1963], No. 33680/64. Heading E2B. [Also in Division A5] A clamp comprises a pair of arms 11, 12 joined at one end by a hinge-forming loop 13 and having interengaging locking means 14, 17 at their free ends and an arcuate projection 26 integral with the loop which blocks the loop prior to closure of the clamp. At its free end each arm has an enlarged portion 21, 22 for engagement by the fingers. One arm 11 carries a hooked projection 15 which on closing the clamp engages a recess 18 formed beneath a lip 19 on the other arm 12, to hold the clamp closed. The facing surfaces of the arms have serrations 20 disposed on each side of a longitudinal channel 23.
