Abstract
The stress-cracking-resistant polyethylene compositions of Specification 877,128 comprising a normally solid polyethylene in admixture with a drying-oil-soluble resinous condensation product of a phenol and an aliphatic aldehyde, and with an additive comprising carbon black, an anti-oxidant for polyethylene or a mixture thereof, is rendered less tacky by the incorporation therein of hexamethylenetetramine. In the examples a condensation product of para-tertiary-amylphenol and formaldehyde is used. A number of other phenols are listed.
