Abstract

1,029,123. Pipe couplings. COMPRESSION JOINTS Ltd. March 17, 1965 [March 17, 1964], 11145/64. Heading F2G. A tubular body 10 of plastics material or metal has a pair of axially spaced, annular recesses 14, 15 respectively receiving a resilient 0-ring 16 and a retaining ring 17, the latter having teeth 18 for wedging engagement with surface of a pipe in the body to restrain withdrawal therefrom. In a modification, the body is in two parts including a nut which forms a recess, for the ring 17, with the end face of a tubular member on to which the nut is screwed.
