Abstract

1,026,460. Concrete mixers. IBAG INTERNATIONALE BAUMASCHINENFABRIK A. G. July 2, 1964 [July 9, 1963], No. 27300/64. Heading B1C. In a mixer of the type having a stationary annular fan 1, a non-rotatable central pillar 5 has keyed thereon a support plate 7 mounting the motor 11; a rotatable mixing head from which depend steering tools 14 is journalled below the support plate and driven through gears 12, 10. The gear 10 may be an internally toothed ring gear and an additional motor may replace the cover 16. In a modification, (see Fig. 3, not shown), the second motor drives a second mixing head journalled above the first, and carrying steering tools at a greater distance from the axis; they may rotate in the same or the opposite direction. The mixing fan may have a cover 15, and the pillar 5 may be flexibly mounted (see Fig 2, not shown).
