Abstract

1,025,479. Valves; hydraulic shock-absorbers. MORRIS MOTORS Ltd. March 9, 1965 [Jan. 1, 1964], No. 27/64. Headings F2S and F2V. A damper valve comprises a plate 3, Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown), having apertures 15, 16 controlled by non-flexible valve members 1, 2 on opposite sides of the plate. A rod 4 is secured to the valve member 2 and extends through the plate and valve member 1. A spring 11 between a washer 9 and the valve member 1 urges both the valve members to a closed position. Pins 13, 14 extend from the plate 3 and engage in a recess in each valve member to guide the valve. The valve is used in a damper such as described in Specification 870,489 and the apertures 15 are larger than the apertures 16 to allow a larger flow on " Bump."
