Abstract
1,022,502. Pattern selection for dobbies. RUTI MACHINERY WORKS Ltd. Sept. 12,1963 [Sept. 12,1962], No. 36070/63. Heading D1E . Reading needles 14 co-operating with holes in a pattern card 11 are carried on supports 15 mounted upon catch bars 16 which are supported between arms 22, 25 of rocking levers 23 which have another arm 27 co-operating with cables 33 for actuating the heald frame selectors of a loom dobby. The bars 16 are adapted for pivotal movement about one end 17 to move the other end in a slot 26 of arm 25 against the action of a light spring 31. A cam 30 actuates the levers 23 against springs 29 to lift all the needles 14 once per loom revolution and the needles are moved transversely to pivot about the axis of bars 16 by a cam 43 to feel alternate hole columns. When encounting a hole on descending a needle 14 drops therein and its bar 16 encounters a stop 51 so that its arm 27 does not move a cable 33. When no hole is encountered the needle support 15 pivots so that the bar 16 slides in its slot 26 and misses the stop 51. The arm 27 continues to move by the action of spring 29 to push the rod 33 to actuate a selector of the dobby.
