Abstract
102,232. France, A. G. July 14, 1916. Buckles.-A buckle comprises two rectangular -frames a, b loosely linked together so that one can turn or slide upon, but cannot be separated from, the other. Projections b<4> from one side bar b<2> of the inner frame b work on end bars a<3> of the frame a, while projections b<4> from the other side bar b' are adapted to engage the side bar a<2> of the frame a. The end bars a<3>, b<3> of the frames are curved, preferably as shown in Fig. 5, so that the bars nest closely together. One or, as shown in Fig 5, both ends of a strap c may be adjustably secured by the device, the free ends c<1> being passed up through the centre of the buckle, round the bars a<2>, b<2> respectively, and then under the bars b<1>, a<1> respectively. The end bars may be furnished with depressions into which the side bars pass when the buckle is in the closed position.
