Abstract
1,020,237. Containers. A. WILHELM. Oct. 25, 1962 [Oct. 28, 1961; July 24, 1962], No. 40369/62. Heading B8P. A plastics container 1 is arranged in a housing so as to tilt forward about hinge pins 4, engaging in bearing cradles 22, and it continues to tilt until stop dogs 5 come into contact with plates 14. Support and guide plates 13 are integrally formed with the rear wall and top of the housing, and the triangular bearing and stop plates 14 are integrally formed with a common base 15. By replacing the plates 14 by plates 14<SP>1</SP> the container may be tilted to a lesser or greater amount. A handle 9, for opening the container, consists of triangular guide supports 31 directly joined to the container side walls and a holding plate 30, and serves as a base to enable the container, removed from the housing 2 to be stacked (Fig. 5, not shown). On removal of the container from its housing the stop dogs 5 pass through the gap 36. The container may also be arranged in a steel cabinet and closed by a locking device. The container may be suspended (Fig. 8, not shown) by a bracket 56, having arms 57 and 59 and hooks 60, from a suspension rod 55, with the hinge pins 4 tiltably supporting a dust-proof lid.
