Laminated or composite plastic material comprises a sheet of extruded synthetic rubber modified polystyrene sheet containing less than 0À01% styrene monomer affixed to a sheet of high impact polystyrene containing more than 0À04 but less than 0À2% styrene monomer. The two sheets may be made integral by heat. In packages or containers formed of the laminated material, the styrene sheet with the low monomer content forms the inner surface.
