Abstract

Steel, iorn, stone, concrete, timber and ships may be coated by brush, spray gun, roller or trowel, with an antifouling paint comprising a fusion of mineral and vegetable waxes with or without animal waxes, and 3 (1-phenyl 1-2 acetyl ethyl) 4 hydroxycoumarin as pesticidal agent. The waxes mentioned are paraffin, microcrystalline, beeswax, spermaceti, candelilla and carnauba. The paint may also comprise pigments, stainers, animal, vegetable and mineral oils (e.g. linseed oil, palm oil and white spirit) and lead oxide.
