Abstract
In a plant for spray-painting and drying of vehicles in which vehicles can be conveyed by conveyer belts through a spraying chamber as well as a drying chamber, the conveyer belts of the spraying chamber are displaceable laterally and the drying chambers are constructed of sufficient width to permit the passage of two vehicles having different drying time requirements, side by side, through the chamber. In one arrangement (not shown) 20 is a cleaning chamber, 21 is a paint spraying chamber having conveyer belts 22 which are displaceable laterally on tracks 23 so as to deliver painted vehicles to either of two conveyers 26, 27 passing through a pre-drying chamber 24 and a drying chamber 25.
