Abstract

1,016,812. Rollers. KLEINEWEFERS G.m.b.H. June 26, 1964 [Nov. 27, 1963], No. 26484/64. Heading F2U. A roller, particularly for squeezing liquid from textiles, comprises discs 3 of rubber or a non-permeable plastic mounted on a steel shaft 1 between end plates 4. In use, the high pressure in the nip of the rollers forces the discs slightly apart, the resultant capillary action having a considerable effect on liquid in material fed through the rollers, and none of the liquid which is squeezed out of the material in the nip of the rollers is readsorbed.
