In a folding table with one or more pedestal supports 20 hinged to the table top 21, the or each pedestal support comprises concentrically arranged tubes 26, 27 of which the outer tube 26 is welded or otherwise secured to the hinge and the inner tube 27 has an arm 31 fixed to it which can be swung round to support the table and is held by a snap catch 33. The table top may be circular and in a modification, Fig. 7, a single pedestal 54 is employed with a square top 51.
