Abstract

1,015,856. Cartons. AMERICAN CAN CO. May 11, 1964, No. 19598/64. Heading B8P. A tamper-proof and sift-proof carton that does not require a liner is made from the blank shown, the blank being split along a mid-line parallel to its surface between cutlines 32, 33 and 34, 35. This arrangement saves material when a number of blanks are cut from a continuous web and provides flush fitting flaps along the sides and ends of the carton that form sift-proof closures. After sealing, the carton can only be opened by tearing open the closure flaps.
