Abstract

1,014,261. Controlling burners. HENSCHELWERKE A.G. Aug. 20, 1964 [Sept. 2, 1963], No. 34060/64. Heading F4T. The fuel supply to a gas or oil burner is controlled by an electromagnetic valve 8 energized by a mercury switch mounted on a pivoted flap 4 in the air passage to the burner. The dynamic pressure of the air holds the flap in a position which closes the mercury switch. The switch may be mounted on a separate lever connected by a link to the flap 4. Weights or a spring may be provided on the flap 4 to adjust its sensitivity.
