Abstract

1,014,201. Bunker discharging apparatus. BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO. Ltd. March 20, 1963 [March 21, 1962], No. 10800/62. Heading B8E. Apparatus for discharging a bunker of the type in which the material falls from a longitudinal aperture on to a table from which it is swept on to a conveyer belt by a paddle wheel or scraper mounted on a trolley which moves along the bunker, comprises means for moving the scraper wheels transversely of the trolley to vary the depth of engagement with the material. The wheels 10 are mounted on arms 9 which can be swung about a vertical axis by double-acting hydraulic rams 21 to vary the engagement with the material on a table 3. A cam rail 8 on the trolley progressively engages and opens doors, closing the bunker aperture as the trolley passes.
