In a thermally-insulated container, e.g. a ship's hold, at least one wall comprises an outer wall 1 having spaced frames 2 and a layer of isolated cellular thermal insulation 3, e.g. polyurethane foam, arranged so as to leave air circulation spaces 6 between the insulation and a piping system 5 used for circulating a heating or cooling fluid.
