Abstract

1,012,647. Haymaking machines. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. Sept. 3, 1962 [Sept. 29, 1961], No. 33723/62. Heading A1F. A rake-wheel, for a haymaking machine, has resilient tines 9 which are passed through holes in a rim 7, each tine being supported by :the rim and by a central portion 3, 4, 5 of the rake-wheel, and each includes :a hook-shaped portion 15 which is accommodated in one of the holes, a portion 10 external to the rim which is inclined to the straight line joining the hole to the axis of rotation of the wheel, and a further portion 11 connected to the hookshaped portion by a bend 17 and extending therefrom towards the central region of the wheel. As shown the tines are double and include a connecting portion 16 which rests on a central sleeve 4 and extends over a radial angle of about 40 degrees. All the connecting portions contact two side-plates 3, 5, which are secured together by bolts 6, and they all lie obliquely to the axis of the wheel. The rim 7 is spaced from the hub spokes 8. The portions 10 extend backwardly relative to the direction of rotation 12 of the wheel, which is mounted, via a crank 2, on the frame of the machine.
