Photocopies are produced by applying a solution of resin to a support, drying the layer thus obtained and sensitizing with an aqueous dichromate solution, exposing under a half-tone screen and removing the unexposed areas with a suitable solvent. The solvent may be an alcohol such as glycol monoethyl ether. The support may be a zinc or aluminium plate or a bimetallic plate such as copper and chromium or aluminium and copper.
