Abstract

1,010,721. Valves. THULINVERKEN A. B. Oct. 20, 1964, No. 42670/64. Heading F2V. With a fluid-control valve in the position shown an outlet chamber 19 is connected to atmosphere via a passage 15 through a spring- loaded closure member 5. Upon admitting fluid-pressure in a control chamber 8 attaining a given value it depresses a diaphragm 7 and an element 14 against a spring 12 until the latter abuts the closure 5 and interrupts the connection of chamber 19 to atmosphere. Further motion of the element 14 commences to unseat the closure 5, which action is aided by the pressure in an inlet chamber 18 acting on a diaphragm 6 that supports the closure 5 whereby the latter is opened rapidly. The effective areas of parts 7, 14, 5 and 6 are of an ascending order. The control chamber 8 may be dispensed with and the element 14 is moved by a manually or automatically actuated eccentric.
