Abstract

1,010,541. Injection moulding closures on to deformable tubes. H. P. VAN GRONINGEN. May 3, 1963 [May 18, 1962], No. 17591/63. Heading B5A. In a process for moulding removable closures on deformable tubes the tubes 1, 2, 3 are firmly supported on members 4, carried by a rotating table 7, which seal the bore in the head 2, 3 of the tube. A mould 5 is lowered into contact with the head 2, 3 of a tube by axial movement of a table 9 and a resin material is injected in the mould cavity to form a closure 6. The table 9 is then raised and indexed to free the mould 5 from the closure 6 and the closed tube removed from the member 4. The shape of the mould and the portion of the member 4 sealing the bore in the head 2, 3 may be varied to produce differing forms of closure, and the head of the tube may be provided with screw threads.
