Abstract

An electrically conductive plastics composition consists of a processed mixture of a high density polyethylene (defined), a synthetic rubber and from above 23% up to 40% of a conductive carbon black with optionally an antioxidant. The rubber is preferably a butyl rubber (exemplified), or a polyisobutylene or a polybutadiene rubber, present in amounts between 10 and 35%. The composition may be used for making pressings, mouldings, extrusions, calendering products or blown film.
