Abstract
1,010,090. Sailing dinghies. G. S. EATON. Oct. 13, 1964 [July 23, 1963], No. 29154/63: Headings B7S and B7V. As drawn in Fig. 5, a sailing, craft has bearings 10, 11 in which an unstayed rotatable cranked mast 2 is stepped when the craft is to be unarigged (Fig. 2) and a support 19 aft of said bearings for a stayed straight mast 16 when the craft is sloop-rigged (Fig. 3). In the latter case the bearing 11 is adjusted so that a boom 23 (Fig. 6) may be rotatably supported by the bearings 10, 11. Guides 39 (Fig. 7) accommodate the wheels 47 of seats 45 so that the latter, normally retracted within the gunwales, may be cantilivered outboard to enable the helmsman to sit with his feet on the gunwale.
