Abstract

1,009,487. Container closures. SOC. ANON FLYMO. Sept. 19, 1964, No. 38336/64. Headings B8T and B8X. A resilient closure cap 3, e.g. of polyethylene, for a tank 1, provided with a vent screw 6 which when loosened provides communication between the atmosphere and the tank interior, is formed with two integral annular sealing projections 4, 8, respectively making fluidtight contact with the filling neck 2 of the tank and with the vent screw 6 when it is tightened. Two or more divergently extending retaining members 9 are provided on the vent screw 6 or on the cap 3. The vent screw has a vent groove 7 and may comprise a retaining protuberance on its lower end.
