Abstract

1,005,986. Clips. F. T. PRODUCTS Ltd. Sept. 2, 1964 [Sept. 17, 1963], No. 36614/63. Addition to 966,032. Heading E2B. The fastener of the parent Specification is modified in that two resilient contact fingers 13 are provided on the extension 12 which projects substantially at right angles from the base 11. As shown, in which a pair of fasteners is used to retain a socket 23 for the starter mechanism 24 of a flourescent light fitting in a cover plate 33 of the fitting, an arm 14 of each fastener resiliently engages a bore 28 of the socket and the fingers 13 engage the mechanism 24 as the latter is pushed into the socket. The arm 14 may be provided with shoulders, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown) to limit the entry of the arm into the bore in the socket.
