Abstract

1,004,690. Gas - scrubbers. BADISCHE MASCHINENFABRIK A. G. SEBOLDWERK. June 28, 1962 [July 1, 1961], No. 24857/62. Heading B1R. A gas-scrubber comprises a chamber 1 divided by a vertical wall 2 into an inlet gas section 3 and an outlet gas section 4, one or more conduits 7 through which a mixture of gas and entrained washing liquid passes from section 2 into section 3, each conduit 7 having slots 8 and 9 for supplying additional washing liquid to the gas as it passes through the conduit. The conduits 7 may be as shown of Venturi-shape and inclined or horizontal. The mixture of gas and washing liquid leaving the conduits 7 strikes a transverse baffle 10 and excess moisture is removed from the scrubbed gas by the plates 12.
