Abstract

1,004,430. Switch cores; indicators for switches. H.P.M. INDUSTRIES PTY. Ltd. Feb. 18, 1964, No. 6654/64. Heading H2B. A casing 10 and cover 13 of moulded plastics insulating material contain a switch mechanism 14 operated by a rotary handle 40 carried by the cover 13 which is transparent, but has ridges 29 rendering it opaque apart from a window 30 through which a neon indicator lamp 15 is visible. Casing 10 and cover 13 fit together with a tongue and groove sealing arrangement 25, 26, 27, while cover 13 has projections 28 co-operating with projections 22 of the casing 10 carrying threaded bosses into which cover fixing screws 21 pass. Casing 10 has knock-outs 16 and screw-plugs 17 for receiving ordinary or screwed conduit, and further knock-outs are provided for screws to mount the bottom 11 of the casing 10 on a supporting surface. The lamp assembly 15 and switch mechanism are attached by screws to inwardly-directed projections 34 from the cover 13, and more than one switch mechanism and lamp may be mounted in each casing.
