1,004,069. Transistor amplifying circuits. DE HAVILLAND AIRCRAFT CO. Ltd. Sept. 18, 1961 [Sept. 16, 1960], No. 32009/60. Heading H3T. A transistor A.C. amplifier 4 having an output transformer 6a with a feed-back winding 10a in series with the input, has its base biased from a potentiometer 15, 16 of such resistance value that if either arm becomes short-circuit or opencircuit the transistor is biased outside its working range. It is explained that the amplifier fails to operate if any of the transformer windings or the emitter bias circuit becomes open or shortcircuit.
