Ferrules or tips.-An adjustable tread for the legs of tables or other furniture consists of an internally threaded member T closed at the bottom and screwing upon a threaded post B<1>, which is attached to the table leg by means of a plate B and screws b<1>. The member T is clamped in position by one or more set-screws t<2>, which engage the post B<1> above the screw-thread.
