1,002,233. Tractor/trailer couplings. LIHNELL VAGN A.B. Oct. 25, 1963 [Oct. 25, 1962], No. 42156/63. Heading B7T. A tractor/trailer universal joint coupling comprises, arms 3 and struts 5, 6 secured to a ring 4 and pivoting about pins 2, and a ring 12 bolted to the ring 4, Fig. 6, and mounted to turn on bearing members 10 in a grooved ring 8, the ring 8 being connected by arms 17, 18 to pivots 19 and arms 23, 24 connected to the draw-bar 22. A central opening 14 is provided in the ring 12 for a power take-off 15 to drive the trailer wheels. The members 10 may be of other cross-sectional shapes or may be formed of balls.
