Abstract

The invention comprises the 5-enamino-19-nor-des-A-pregna-5(10) 9(11)-dien-20-one compounds having the general formula: <FORM:1001196/C2/1> in which R and R1, which may be the same or different, each represents a lower alkyl group having from 1-6 carbon atoms or they together with the nitrogen atom constitute a substituted or unsubstituted nitrogen or nitrogen-and-oxygen containing heterocyclic ring system and a process for the preparation thereof in which 19-nor-des-A-pregn-9-ene-5,20-dione is reacted with a secondary amine of the formula RR1N.H (where R and R1 are as defined above).
