Abstract
1,000,698. Decorative double glazing. LIBBEY-OWENS-FORD GLASS CO. Nov. 12, 1962 [Nov. 17, 1961], No. 42586/62. Headings E1J and E1R. A double-glazed unit 10 is decorated on the inner surface of at least one of the sheets 11 by an intermittent coating 22 of enamel frit which is sprayed, brushed or stencilled on to the glass, and fused thereon. The coating does not extend to the edges of the sheets, which are secured together in known ways, i.e., by a soldered metallic spacing strip 13, Fig. 2, by fusion (Fig. 3, not shown), or by a square tubular separator strip cemented to each of the sheets.
