Abstract

The invention proposes a cosmetic product dispenser receptacle (1) comprising: - an assembly formed in one piece comprising a base (2) and a cover (3) movable in rotation, connected to the base (2) by a first pivot connection (12) without pin, - an intermediate mobile platform (4) for holding the bucket (5) in position located between the base (2) and the cover (3), this platform (4) being fixed to the base (2) in a removable manner. The assembly and the platform are made from the same plastic material. The platform (4) comprises a fixed part (47) in contact with the base (2), and a movable part (46) connected to the fixed part (47) by a second pivot connection (48) without pin, said movable part (46) being in rotation relative to the fixed part (47) and taking said open and closed positions. Description

Compact, single-material cosmetic product dispenser receptacle Technical field of the invention

The invention relates to a receptacle for dispensing a cosmetic product, such as a skincare cream or makeup powder. This receptacle is refillable with cosmetic product.

In this case, the receptacle comprises a base receiving a cup packaging a cosmetic product. When the cup is empty, it is sufficient to remove it and put a new one in the base.

Technical background

We know the cosmetic product dispenser receptacles, which are generally made of plastic, and which include a base connected to a cover via a hinge-type pivot connection with a metal or plastic pin. A cup filled with cosmetic product is placed in the base.

It is known to hold the bucket in the base via a pivoting platform inserted between the base and the cover, and resting against the bucket.

The platform is connected to the base via a pivot link with pin, and has a central window through which the product is accessible.

Metal pins pose the problem of recycling the receptacle. Indeed, for recycling purposes, it is important that all parts of the receptacle are made of the same material, so that the user does not need to disassemble it and sort the different materials before disposing of them separately.

Pivot connections with plastic pins have the disadvantage of being bulky, because to achieve the same mechanical performance as a metal pin, a larger pin section and a larger hinge loop section are required. Also, extra material thicknesses are provided at the pivot connections, both for the cover and for the platform.

With a view to reducing the quantity of material used and making the receptacle more compact, the present invention proposes a refined receptacle, designed in a single material to facilitate recycling, without glue, while offering rotation of the cover and the platform relative to the base, with precise positioning and good retention of the bucket.

This goal is achieved by means of a cosmetic product dispensing receptacle, having a central axis X and comprising:

- an assembly formed from a single piece comprising a base and a cover which can rotate between a receptacle closed position and a receptacle open position, connected to the base by a first pivot connection without a pin, the base being capable of receiving a bucket containing the product

- an intermediate platform for holding the bucket in position, located between the base and the cover and being movable in rotation between a closed position capable of clamping the bucket and an open position allowing the bucket to be removed, this platform being fixed to the base in a removable manner.

This device is mainly characterized in that the assembly and the platform are made of the same plastic material and in that the platform comprises a fixed part in contact with the base, and a mobile part connected to the fixed part by a second pivot connection without a pin, said mobile part being in rotation relative to the fixed part and taking said opening and closing positions.

The main idea of this invention is to do away with pins in the pivot connections, in order to avoid excess material thickness in the connection areas between the different parts making up the receptacle.

The invention provides a pivot connection within the platform itself, and no longer between the platform and the base, in order to radially offset the pivot connections within the receptacle, and thus avoid an overload of material in the rear articulation zone of the receptacle.

In addition, in order to obtain a compact receptacle, the platform is directly fixed by interlocking into the base, thanks to its fixed part snapped into the base. Indeed, snapping is a mechanical system that allows the parts to be held firmly, with a minimum of bulk. Such an assembly ultimately allows a flat and thin receptacle to be obtained compared to the receptacles of the prior art.

Detailed description of the invention

By convention, the "axial" direction corresponds to that of the main extension of the receptacle, illustrated by the X axis on the , and the “radial” direction is orthogonal to the axial direction.

In the detailed description of the figures which follow, the terms “upper” and “lower” or “top” and “bottom” will be used in a non-limiting manner in reference to the axial direction. Thus, the term “upper” means a part located in the vicinity of a cover of the receptacle, and the term “lower” means a part located in the vicinity of a bottom of the receptacle.

Similarly, the terms "outer or external" and "inner or internal" are used in reference to the radial direction, with an outer element being radially further from the X-axis than an inner element.

Figures 1 and 2 show receptacle 1 in the closed position.

This is a case particularly suitable for containing makeup products of the compacted makeup powder type. This cosmetic product is contained in a cup 5 located inside the receptacle 1, and visible in .

This receptacle 1 is cylindrical with a circular section in these figures, but it could have a different external shape, for example square.

This receptacle 1 is traditionally composed of a base 2 to which a cover 3 is connected via a first pivot connection 12 along the axis Y1, without a pin, visible in . The Y1 axis is perpendicular to the X axis. The base 2 and the cover 3 form a single piece assembly.

This first pivot connection 12 is located in the rear part AR of the receptacle 1, while the front part AV of the receptacle 1, located opposite the rear part, has a clasp.

This cover 3 is movable between a closed position as illustrated in figures 1 and 2, and an open position as illustrated in figures 3 to 5, where the cosmetic product is then accessible.

The receptacle 1 also includes a platform 4 which makes it possible to hold the bucket 5 in position within the base 2, in particular when the cover 3 is open. The bucket 5 is interposed between the base 2 and the platform 4.

Thus, when the user opens the cover 3 and takes some cosmetic product, the cup 5 is held by this platform 4 and does not come out of the base 2.

The platform 4 fits the interior shape of the base 2 so as to integrate completely without being visible from the outside when the receptacle 1 is closed.

It is annular in shape and extends in a plane perpendicular to the X axis.

The platform 4 has a central opening 15 through which it is possible to access the cosmetic product contained in the cup 5.

In the figures illustrated, the bucket 5 is cylindrical. But it could take other forms within the framework of the present invention.

Bucket 5 is made of treated steel or aluminum. Any other material can be considered within the framework of the present invention.

Platform 4 is connected to base 2 by snap-fitting.

In addition, this platform 4 is pivotable between a closed position as in , where bucket 5 is held in position in base 2, and an opening position as in , where bucket 5 is released, allowing the user to have access to bucket 5, in particular if he wishes to replace it.

More specifically, as illustrated in , the platform 4 comprises a fixed part 47 in contact with the base 2, and a mobile part 46 in rotation relative to the fixed part 47.

The fixed part 47 is snapped into the base 2, in the rear part of the receptacle 1. The fixed part 47 only develops in the rear part of the receptacle 1. Indeed, the fixed part 47 contributes to the stability of the platform and must be as small as possible to allow a maximum diameter of the mobile part 46 in proportion to the receptacle 1.

The movable part 46 moves in rotation relative to the fixed part 47, taking said opening and closing positions of the platform 4.

The movable part 46 is connected to the fixed part 47 by a second pivot connection 48 of axis Y2 without pin. The axis Y2 is perpendicular to the axis X.

The second pivot connection 48 is also located at the rear of the receptacle 1, like the first pivot connection 12. However, these are two different pivot connections. In fact, the second pivot connection 48 is independent of the first pivot connection 12. The axes Y1 and Y2 are parallel but radially offset relative to the axis X.

The first pivot connection 12 and the second pivot connection 48 each correspond to a film hinge. This type of hinge has a very thin thickness, and does not require a lot of material. It therefore makes it possible to obtain a refined and compact receptacle 1, particularly in the rear part.

Preferably, the length of the film hinge of the second pivot connection is greater than at least one quarter of the diameter of the platform 4. The length of the hinge must be sufficient to allow it to be stable and functional.

Thus, the base 2 and the cover 3 form a single piece, and the platform 4 constitutes a second piece. These two pieces form the receptacle 1. The receptacle 1 is thus not only compact, but also minimalist in terms of parts.

These two parts are manufactured separately. Dimensional variations may therefore occur, and it is then important to ensure precise positioning between these two parts when they are mounted one inside the other, as explained below.

The platform 4, as illustrated in figures 9 and 10, has an annular rim 42 capable of being pressed against the bucket 5, as well as a lateral peripheral wall 41 extending perpendicular to the rim 42. This lateral peripheral wall 41 is discontinuous.

The fixed part 47 of the platform 4 corresponds to the rear part of the platform 4. It includes in particular a tab 7 belonging to the lateral peripheral wall 41 of the platform 4. This tab 7 thus constitutes a section of the lateral peripheral wall 41.

This leg 7 is fitted into a cavity 20 provided for this purpose in the base 2. This cavity 20 is defined by walls 10 extending from a bottom 25 of the base 2 and oriented along the X axis.

The fitting of the fixed part 47 of the platform 4 into the cavity 20 is carried out by a translational movement along the X axis.

Preferably, snap-in means are provided for snapping the fixed part 47 into the base 2, in order to block it axially along the X axis.

That said, by pulling hard enough on platform 4, it is possible to remove it from base 2 by passing the hard point of the snap. Platform 4 is thus removable.

The fixed part 47 also has a first support surface 49, oriented parallel to the X axis.

This first support surface 49 comes into contact with a second support surface 29 provided in a peripheral side wall 21 of the base 2.

The two support surfaces 49, 29 are oriented perpendicular to the bottom 25 of the base 2. They ensure “ballistic” positioning of contact between the platform 4 and the base 2.

The snap-fastening means are provided between the fixed part 47 of the platform 4 and the base 2. In this case, one of the walls 10 of the base 2 has a protuberance 11 capable of fitting inside a groove 40 provided for this purpose in the tab 7.

Thus, platform 4 is mounted in base 2 by snapping.

The fixed part 47 is connected to the mobile part 46 via the second pivot connection 48.

The second support surface 29 in contact with the base 2 makes it possible to stiffen the second pivot connection 48 located just upstream. This gives a stiffened hinge zone for pivoting the platform 4 relative to the base 2. This is important in particular because of the type of hinge used, in this case the film hinge, which has less strength than a hinge with a pin.

The first pivot connection 12, the two support surfaces 29, 49 and the second pivot connection 48 are arranged in the same alignment, in the rear part of the receptacle 1. In other words, these three elements are angularly aligned with respect to the X axis.

As mentioned previously, the mobile part 46 of the platform 4 conventionally has an annular rim 42 capable of being pressed against the annular periphery 52 of the bucket 5, so as to block the bucket 5 axially, so that it prevents it from moving inside the receptacle 1.

This annular rim 42 delimits the central opening 15, through which the user can have access to the cosmetic product.

The bucket 5 is furthermore retained laterally by an internal skirt 22 extending from the bottom 25 of the base 2.

The receptacle 1 according to the invention comprises first closing means between the movable part 46 of the platform 4 and the base 2, located opposite the support surfaces 29, 49, in the front part of the receptacle 1. These first closing means are therefore a fortiori located opposite the second pivot connection 48.

These first means of closure are illustrated in particular in figures 3 and 7. In this case, these first means of closure consist of a first clasp. This is a closure by interlocking corresponding shapes.

In this case, the front part of the peripheral side wall 41 of the platform 4 has an external bead 45 capable of being housed under an internal hook 14 projecting from a tab 27 of the peripheral side wall 21 of the base 2.

It is understood that the platform 4 is thus wedged inside the base 2, on the one hand at the rear via the two support surfaces 29, 49, and on the other hand at the front via the first closing means.

However, it is possible that platform 4 may become slightly off-center when pivoting from its open position to its closed position, resulting in a slightly off-center closure. This may eventually deform the film hinge.

To avoid this misalignment, and therefore this rattling at the level of the first clasp, the mobile part 46 of the platform 4 has means of wedging with the bucket 5.

These wedging means consist of a shoulder 43 oriented parallel to the X axis and coming to bear on the side wall 51 of the bucket 5.

The shoulder 43 extends perpendicularly from the lower surface of the annular rim 42.

Preferably, the shoulder 43 is annular.

This shoulder 43 comes to enclose the bucket 5, around its entire circumference.

Thus, when closing, the platform 4 not only rests on the upper part 52 of the bucket 5 via the annular rim 42, but also on the lateral part 51 of the bucket 5 via the shoulder 43.

This clamping makes it possible to axially center the platform 4 relative to the bucket 5, and therefore relative to the X axis because the bucket 5 is centered in the base 2 thanks to the internal skirt 22. Thus, when the platform 4 approaches its closing position, it is completely centered relative to the base 2 and the closing is carried out without jittering, with precision.

The wedging carried out between the mobile part 46 of the platform 4 and the bucket 5 when closing the platform 4 on the base 2 makes it possible to ensure a precise closing position at the level of the first diametrically opposite clasp.

To further improve the centering of the bucket 5 relative to the base 2, centering pins 23 of the bucket 5 project from the internal skirt 22 of the base 2 surrounding the bucket 5. These centering pins 23 are directed towards the bucket 5, and come into contact with the side wall 51 of the bucket 5. They make it possible to absorb any dimensional variations of the bucket 5. These centering pins 23 are distributed around the bucket 5. In the example presented, four pins 23 are regularly distributed around the bucket 5.

Advantageously, the base 2 includes raising pins 24 for the bucket 5, which project from the bottom 25 of the base 2. These pins 24 make it possible to raise the bucket 5 so that it does not rest directly on the bottom 25 of the base 2.

When using the receptacle 1, makeup powder may be deposited at the bottom of the base 2, or even dust. These pins 24 prevent any contact and any snagging between the cup 5 and this dust. Raising the cup 5 also allows it to protrude from the internal skirt 22 so that it can be more easily picked up when it is desired to replace it.

The receptacle 1 according to the invention comprises second closing means between the cover 3 and the base 2, located opposite the pivot connections, in the front part of the receptacle 1.

These second closing means are illustrated in particular in figures 3, 4 and 6.

In this case, these second means of closure also consist of a second clasp. This is a closure by interlocking corresponding shapes.

In this case, the front part of a peripheral side wall 32 of the cover 3 is extended by a tab 33 provided with an internal bead 33 capable of being housed under an external hook 28 projecting from the tab 27 of the peripheral side wall 21 of the base 2.

Advantageously, the front part of the peripheral side wall 21 of the base 2 has a recess 26 bordered by the tab 27. This recess 26 makes it possible to accommodate the tab 33 of the cover 3, so that the second clasp is completely integrated into the volume of the base 2, for better compactness of the receptacle 1.

Advantageously, the first pivot connection 12 is provided with spring means to limit the opening of the cover 3 and slow down the closing of the cover 3.

In this case, these spring means consist of straps 13 extending on either side of the film hinge. They are notably visible in figures 2 and 6. They are used to hold the cover 3, both during opening, so that it does not fall to 180° but is held at approximately 150°, and during closing so that it does not fall to 0° but is held between 30° and 15°, like a pre-closure. These straps 13 thus act as a brake, with a return effect of the cover 3. The user can then manually close his cover 3 by pressing on it.

Preferably, the straps 13 are in the continuity of material of the film hinge. The straps 13 and the film hinge have a substantially constant thickness. This contributes to the solidity of the hinge, to the simplification of the molds and the tools, and gives a beautiful aesthetic appearance when the straps are separated at the opening.

In addition, the receptacle 1 is circular in shape, so it allows a simplified spring effect given the arrow of the straps.

The present invention is particularly focused on a receptacle 11 that can be fully recyclable. For this, it is necessary that all the parts that make up the receptacle 1 (except bucket 5) are designed in the same material, so that the consumer can throw the receptacle 1 in a single bin, and that he is not obliged to disassemble the parts to sort them and put them in different sorting bins.

For recycling purposes, it is understood that bucket 5 is removable, and that it must be removed before disposing of receptacle 1.

Thus, the base 2, the cover 3 and the platform 4 are all designed in the same plastic material.

The plastic material may be selected from polypropylene (PP), recycled polypropylene (R-PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET), a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), polyethylene (PE), such as low density polyethylene (LDPE) and/or high density polyethylene (HDPE), a composite material, a post-consumer recycled material (PCR and/or a similar material).

Preferably, it is polypropylene and/or polyethylene terephthalate, recycled or not.

Thus, advantageously, all the parts, namely the base 2, the platform 4 and the cover 3 are made of plastic material chosen from polypropylene and/or polyethylene terephthalate.

Polypropylene is preferred because it is relatively flexible and compatible with recycling channels. And above all, it allows for resistant film hinges.

The base 2 and cover 3 assembly can be obtained by molding.

This could be plastic injection molding.

In this case, the assembly is molded with the cover 3 in the open position relative to the base 2. After demolding, the cover 3 is folded down onto the base 2 to position it in the closed position.

Platform 4 can also be obtained by casting.

Alternatively, the base 2, the cover 3 and the platform 4 can be made by 3D printing. Such a printing process makes it possible in particular to produce these parts with particular patterns and shapes very freely.

In this case, since there are no longer any metal pins in the receptacle 1 according to the invention, 3D printing is all the easier.

Cover 3 of receptacle 1 may be full.

In the example shown, the cover 3 of the receptacle 1 has a central opening 35 in which a window 6 is inserted.

Preferably, the window 6 is transparent, so that the user can observe through the window 6 the cosmetic product contained in the receptacle 1.

Window 6 can be translucent, or opaque as well.

In all cases, the window 6 is made separately from the cover 3, but in the same material as the cover 3. In this case, the window 6 is preferably made of polypropylene. In this way, the entire receptacle 1 remains monomaterial. In addition to the advantages in terms of recycling, a receptacle 1 made of monomaterial also allows industrial simplification.

Preferably, the window 6 is snapped into the cover 3.

Preferably, the window 6 cannot be removed from the cover 3.

Window 6 is advantageously adaptable to marking, and can be provided with logos or other distinctive marks.

The configurations shown in the figures cited are only possible examples, in no way limiting, of the invention which on the contrary encompasses the variants of shapes and designs within the reach of those skilled in the art.

Claims (21)

Receptacle (1) for dispensing cosmetic products, having a central axis X and comprising:
- an assembly formed from a single piece comprising a base (2) and a cover (3) movable in rotation between a closed position of the receptacle (1) and an open position of the receptacle (1), connected to the base (2) by a first pivot connection (12) without a pin, the base (2) being capable of receiving a bucket (5) containing the product;
- an intermediate platform (4) for holding the bucket (5) in position, located between the base (2) and the cover (3) and being movable in rotation between a closed position capable of clamping the bucket (5) and an open position allowing the bucket (5) to be removed, this platform (4) being fixed to the base (2) in a removable manner,
characterized in that the assembly and the platform (4) are made of the same plastic material, and in that the platform (4) comprises a fixed part (47) in contact with the base (2), and a movable part (46) connected to the fixed part (47) by a second pivot connection (48) without a pin, said movable part (46) being in rotation relative to the fixed part (47) and taking said opening and closing positions. Receptacle (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the first pivot connection (12) has a pivot axis Y1 perpendicular to the axis X and the second pivot connection (48) has a pivot axis Y2 perpendicular to the axis X, the two axes Y1, Y2 being parallel and radially offset relative to the axis X.
