Équipement (EQ), comportant un module cœur (MC) assurant un premier jeu de fonctionnalités et : -- au moins une première face (S1), adaptée pour recevoir une deuxième face (S1.1) d’au moins un module additionnel (MA1) assurant un deuxième jeu de fonctionnalités,-- au moins un premier élément de connexion (C1a) et formant une zone d’accueil (ZA1) sur la première face (S1), ladite zone d’accueil (ZA1) étant adaptée pour coopérer avec au moins un deuxième élément de connexion (C1.1a), et dans lequel l’équipement (EQ) comporte, pour identifier ladite deuxième face (S1.1) du module additionnel (MA1) lorsque ladite deuxième face (S1.1) est reçue sur la première face (S1), au moins un circuit électrique (ELEC) configuré pour mesurer une grandeur électrique de la deuxième face (S1.1) du module additionnel (MA1) dans la zone d’accueil (ZA1), ladite grandeur électrique indiquant au moins un type de deuxième face assemblée à ladite zone d’accueil (ZA1).
