Description
The invention relates to a method for controlling a hydraulic system for cleaning a motor vehicle sensor.
Nowadays, motor vehicles are equipped with a multitude of sensors, including image sensors for driving and parking assistance. These sensors greatly contribute to increasing road safety and it must of course be ensured that they are always in optimal working order. This is all the more the case for higher-level autonomous vehicles, in which data from image sensors is essential for proper guidance on traffic lanes. Cleaning processes are thus implemented by a hydraulic system to eliminate any trace of rain, mud or other compound likely to stick to the glass surfaces of the sensors.
The present disclosure seeks to optimize the control of such a hydraulic system to ensure the most effective cleaning possible of the glass surfaces of sensors.
To this end, there is proposed a method for controlling a hydraulic system for circulating a liquid fluid, said system comprising at least one source of pressure for circulating the liquid fluid, preferably a hydraulic pump, a means of spraying of the liquid fluid and a solenoid valve for opening and closing the spraying means, the spraying means being intended to spray the liquid fluid on a glazed surface of a motor vehicle sensor, the control method comprising:
- a pressure source activation step, and
- a solenoid valve opening step,
the step of opening the solenoid valve being subsequent to the step of activating the pressure source.
Thus, thanks to the method according to the present invention, it is ensured that the pressure of the liquid fluid sprayed by the hydraulic system is sufficiently high, even at the start of cleaning, which concomitantly makes it possible to reduce the spraying time, and to make a liquid fluid saving needed.
According to another aspect, the step of opening the solenoid valve begins between 10 ms and 1 s after the step of activating the pressure source.
According to another aspect, the step of opening the solenoid valve begins between 20 ms and 200 ms after the step of activating the pressure source.
According to another aspect, the method comprises a step of deactivating the pressure source and a step of closing the solenoid valve, the step of closing the solenoid valve being subsequent to the step of deactivating the pressure source.
