Description

COSMETIC DEVICE WITH COMPARTMENTS

The present invention relates to devices for packaging and applying a cosmetic product, and more particularly but not exclusively, a make-up product, in particular for the skin, eyes or lips.

The invention aims more particularly to improve the devices comprising a container defining several compartments, a closure cap of the container and optionally, an applicator comprising an application element and a gripping member.

WO2018/09590 discloses a device for nail polish comprising an open internal compartment for placing a brush. The brush is held in the internal compartment, while being in contact with the formula at the bundle of bristles, because the internal compartment does not have a bottom wall.

JP5366202 discloses a pot with a scraping wall forming a comb-shaped rim. The axis of the scraper wall is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the pot. The pot is not divided into compartments.

WO2016135272, of which the Applicant is the Holder, discloses a cosmetic device comprising a container delimiting at least two compartments and a closure cap for closing the container, designed to close each compartment in a sealed manner.

There is a need to benefit from a device making it possible to use an application element, in particular a brush, which does not undergo the flow of the cosmetic composition during its storage and which is not immersed therein.

There is a need to deposit the cosmetic composition on the application element just at the moment of application, while preserving and isolating the application element from the formula the rest of the time.

There is a need to provide a device in which a long applicator can be stored, despite a long stem or a long, optionally flexible, application element(s).

There is a need to provide a device in which a long applicator can be used without wringing.

There is a need to provide a device in which the composition is accessible until the last use.

There is a need to provide a device that receives an applicator beyond the height of the composition.

There is also a need to benefit from a device that is simple to manufacture and inexpensive.

There is still a need to benefit from a device which is practical to use, of small size and which makes it possible to carry out a neat application.

The subject of the invention, according to a first of its aspects, is a device for packaging and applying the longitudinal axis X, comprising:

- a container comprising at least one outer compartment comprising an outer side wall and an inner compartment comprising an inner side wall, the inner compartment being disposed in the outer compartment,

- an applicator comprising:

○ a closure cap of the container arranged to close the external compartment and the internal compartment,

○ a rod connected by a first end to the closure cap,

○ an application element connected to a second end of the rod and housed in the internal compartment in the closed position of the container by the capsule and extracted from the internal compartment in the open position of the container by the capsule, the application being intended to withdraw a cosmetic product contained in the external compartment,

and, when the device is observed in front view along the longitudinal axis X, the internal compartment comprises an internal bottom wall located axially below an external bottom wall of the external compartment and the application element comprises a distal end located between the outer bottom wall and the inner bottom wall, in the position of closure of the container by the capsule.

Due to the positioning of the end of the applicator element with respect to the longitudinal axis X, the rod and/or the applicator element may be particularly long for certain particular makeups or certain makeups requiring precision.

Thanks to the invention, it becomes possible to store a long applicator in a device, without the latter being in contact with the cosmetic composition, in the closed position of the device.

Due to the internal compartment, the applicator is completely isolated from the cosmetic composition during storage.

Preferably, the inner side wall is solid. No contact between the cosmetic composition and the applicator is possible through this wall.

More preferably, the bottom of the internal compartment is solid and connected to the internal side wall. No contact is possible between the cosmetic composition and the applicator if the inner side wall is solid.

More preferably, the internal compartment is in one piece.

A further subject of the invention is a cosmetic process comprising the operations consisting in:

Provide a device as defined above,

Unscrew the cap from the container,

Completely extract the applicator from the internal compartment,

Take the cosmetic product with the application element,

Apply the sampled product to a body surface,

Close the device by screwing the cap onto the container.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The device according to the invention may comprise one or more of the following characteristics, taken separately or in any technically possible combination:

The external compartment comprises at least one scraping wall for scraping excess cosmetic product taken from the application element. The user can rub the applicator element against this wall, which makes it easier to clean for better controlled makeup. This wall can replace a wiper, while being simpler to manufacture.

The outer bottom wall is equipped with a lug intended to position the device when it is filled with the cosmetic composition. The orientation of the device on the production line is better identified.

The inner side wall is provided with a relief, in particular a thread, intended to cooperate with a complementary relief located on an outer face of the applicator. The weight of the device can be reduced, for example by removing two thicknesses of nets. In addition, the device is more environmentally friendly because less plastic is used.

The distal end of the applicator element is axially closer, relative to the longitudinal axis X, to the internal bottom wall than to the external bottom wall, when the device is observed in front view according to the longitudinal axis X. The applicator element can better wait for the bottom wall of the external compartment during use, in order to have access to 100% of the cosmetic composition.

When the device is observed in front view along the longitudinal axis X, at least a portion of the applicator element is located axially below the outer bottom wall and the rod is entirely located axially above the outer bottom wall.

When the device is observed in front view along the longitudinal axis X, at least a portion of the rod is located axially below the outer bottom wall. The stem is long. It can be flat and not wringable.

The application element is located at a non-zero distance from the internal side wall. The application element is better preserved.

The application element extends over a height measured along the longitudinal axis X greater than its maximum width measured perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X.

The container is formed in one piece.

The device comprises an additional ornamental bottom piece, possibly weighted, intended to at least partially fill the space between the internal bottom wall and the external bottom wall.

Figures 1 to 5 show a first device 1 with longitudinal axis X, produced in accordance with the invention, which comprises a container 2 and an applicator 4 used for sampling and applying the product.

The container 2 comprises two compartments of longitudinal axis X, namely:

An internal compartment 12 delimited by a cylindrical internal side wall 50 and by a flat bottom wall 14 perpendicular to the axis X, this internal compartment 12 being intended to receive the applicator 4,

An outer compartment 11 delimited by a cylindrical outer side wall 40, the inner side wall 50 and a flat bottom wall 13 perpendicular to the axis X, this outer compartment 11 being intended to house the cosmetic product, in particular poured and/or compacted and/or impregnated on an absorbent support, such as fibers or foam.

The container 2 is advantageously made in one piece by molding thermoplastic material, for example a thermoplastic material chosen from polyolefins, polyamides, polyacetals, PET or polystyrenes.

The container 2 is provided with a fixed flat scraping wall 30 extending into the outer compartment 11 parallel to the longitudinal axis X from the outer bottom 13, between the inner side wall 50 and the outer side wall 40.

The scraping wall 30 may include a radially inner free edge 31 facilitating the cleaning of the applicator 4, in particular a bevelled, notched, toothed or at least partially curved free edge, so as to better match the shape of the applicator 4 when of its cleaning.

Preferably, before the first use of the device according to the invention, the free edge 31 of the scraping wall 30 is located above the free surface of the cosmetic product, so as to be able to be used as soon as the device is purchased, without waiting for a decrease in the volume of the cosmetic product.

The device according to the invention may comprise several scraping walls 30. Indeed, the scraping wall 30 being the extension of the wall separating the compositions, in the case of two external compartments, there are two scraping walls and in the case of three external compartments, there are three scraping walls for example. In the case where the external compartment contains only one composition, no separating wall is necessary but a scraping wall may be present.

The external compartment 11 can be divided into several spaces to accommodate different cosmetic compositions by separating them by partitions, in particular planar and parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the device. The scraping wall 30 can form a partition wall, in the case where the outer compartment 11 is divided into at least two spaces.

The outer bottom wall 13 may be provided with a lug 400, having in the example shown, a flattened triangular shape perpendicular to the axis X and defining a projecting grip to hold the container stationary during its filling, so that a filling spout is positioned above the free space of the external compartment 11 and not above a wall of the container 2, such as the scraping wall 30 or even the internal side wall 50. Thanks to this pin, the filling is safe and precise.

The applicator 4 comprises an application element 20 received in a tubular housing 105 at a lower end of an insert 106 defining the stem 6. The insert 106 comprises, in its intermediate part, an external thread 42 complementary to the internal thread 41 of the internal compartment 12. It is mounted between a retainer 61 and a cover 62, to form, at its upper end, a tapered point of circular section complementary to the inner section of the cover 62 in which it is fitted, in order to defining a protruding handle 44.

In the example considered, the capsule 3 is formed by the retainer 61, a portion of the insert 103 and the cover 62.

The width of the cover 62, measured perpendicular to the axis X, is practically equal to the internal diameter of the external compartment 11, so as to ensure satisfactory sealing of the external compartment 11 and to reinforce the fixing of the application element 20 on the container 2 in the closed position of the container 2 by the capsule 3.

The applicator 4 can be fixed in various other ways on the container 2, for example by snap-fastening, friction or fixing of the bayonet type, having complementary reliefs located one on the external wall of the applicator 4, in particular on the wall external of the rod 6, and the other on the internal wall of the internal compartment 12 and/or on the internal wall of the external compartment 11.

The distal end 21 of the applicator element 20 is located axially with respect to the axis X, below the outer bottom wall 13, in the closed position of the container 2 by the capsule 3. In the example shown, the distal end 21 of the application element 20 is located practically halfway between the bottom wall 14 of the internal compartment 12 and the bottom wall 13 of the external compartment 11. However, it could be otherwise. For example, the end 21 could be located at an almost zero distance from the bottom 14.

The application element 21 can be an elastomer tip, a brush, a felt pen, a foam tip, an injection molded tip, a ball, a comb, a brush, a sponge, a spatula, optionally flocked or sintered .

The container 2 can be made of glass, of thermoplastic material or of other natural or synthetic materials.

In the example shown, the applicator element 21 is a tapered tip with a longitudinal axis Z inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis X of the device.

Due to the elongated shape of the application element 21, the user can orient the application element 20 so as to obtain sufficient grip on the applicator 4 to reach the cosmetic product even at the bottom of the compartment. external 11, even at the end of the life of the device. Access to the corners of the outer compartment 11, as well as close to the scraping wall 30 becomes possible with the elongated applicator 4, giving the user the opportunity to save cosmetic product. Access is also facilitated if the rod 6 is particularly long and the application element 20 particularly short, forming for example a sphere to obtain makeup effects.

Another advantage of the elongated shape of the application element 21 is to be able to draw a thinner or wider line depending on the angle given to the applicator 4 with respect to the surface to be treated or to be made up.

According to a first embodiment of the invention, the application element 21 is rotationally symmetrical about its longitudinal axis X. In this case, facial makeup can be facilitated by symmetrical repetition of gestures.

According to a second embodiment of the invention, the application element 21 is not rotationally symmetrical about its longitudinal axis X. In this case, the application element 21 may have a cross section perpendicular to the Z axis elongated along a main axis, at least over a fraction of its length. In order to draw a wide line, the user moves the application element 20 with the major axis of the section oriented perpendicular to the direction of movement.

The applicator element 21 may include a tip 27 for fixing to the stem 6 defined by the lower end of the insert 106. The stem 6 may have positioning means such as a flat, facilitating the orientation of the application element 21 so as to obtain the desired line width.

Figures 6 to 9 represent a second device with longitudinal axis X, produced in accordance with the invention. This device is identical to that of FIGS. 1 to 5, except that the application element 21 is a brush fitted with a bundle of bristles, the proximal end of which is inserted into a housing 67 defined at the base 63 of rod 6.

The container 2 may have a transparent wall allowing the user to see the color of the product for example.

The closing of the container 2 by the capsule 3 can be completed by:

- an annular lip sealing between a wall of the outer compartment 11 and the capsule 3,

- an annular lip ensuring the seal between the outer 11 and inner 12 compartments.

To use the device, the user can separate the closure cap 3 from the container 2, then extract the application element 20 from the internal compartment 12. He can use the applicator 4 to take the product from the external compartment 11 and apply it to the skin or lips. He can then insert the applicator 4 into the compartment 12 and close the device by replacing the closure cap 3 on the container 2.

The invention is not limited to the embodiments which have just been described.

It is possible in particular to provide non-concentric compartments or compartments having other cross-sectional shapes. Other applicators can be provided. A mirror can be attached to the capsule.

Claims (12)

Device (1) for conditioning and applying the longitudinal axis (X), comprising:
- a container (2) comprising at least one outer compartment (11) comprising an outer side wall (40) and an inner compartment (12) comprising an inner side wall (50), the inner compartment (12) being disposed in the compartment external (11),
- an applicator (4) comprising:
○ a closure cap (3) of the container (2) arranged to close the external compartment (11) and the internal compartment (12),
○ a rod (6) connected by a first end to the closure cap (3),
○ an application element (20) connected to a second end of the rod (6) and housed in the internal compartment (12) in the closed position of the container (2) by the cap (3) and extracted from the internal compartment opening position of the container (2) by the capsule (3), the application element (20) being intended to take a cosmetic product contained in the external compartment (11),
characterized in that, when the device is observed in front view along the longitudinal axis (X), the internal compartment (12) comprises an internal bottom wall (14) located axially below a bottom wall outer compartment (13) of the outer compartment (11) and the application element (20) has a distal end (21) located between the outer bottom wall (13) and the inner bottom wall (14), in the position of closure of the container (2) by the capsule (3). Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the external compartment (11) comprises at least one scraping wall (30) for scraping cosmetic product taken in excess from the application element (20). Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the outer bottom wall (13) is equipped with a lug (400) intended to position the device when it is filled with the cosmetic composition. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the internal lateral wall (50) is provided with a relief (41), in particular with a thread, intended to cooperate with a complementary relief (42) situated on an outer face of the applicator (4). Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the distal end (21) of the application element (20) is axially closer, with respect to the longitudinal axis X, to the bottom wall internal (14) than the outer bottom wall (13), when the device is observed in front view along the longitudinal axis (X). Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that, when the device is observed in front view along the longitudinal axis (X), at least a portion of the application element (21) is located axially below the outer bottom wall (13) and the stem (6) is located axially entirely above the outer bottom wall (13). Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that, when the device is observed in front view along the longitudinal axis (X), at least a portion of the rod (6) is located axially in - below the outer bottom wall (13). Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the application element (20) is located at a non-zero distance from the internal side wall (50). Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the application element (20) extends over a height measured along the longitudinal axis (X) greater than its maximum width measured perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (X). Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the container (2) is formed in one piece. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that it comprises an additional ornamental bottom piece, possibly weighted, intended to at least partially fill the space between the internal bottom wall (14) and the outer bottom wall (13). Cosmetic process comprising the operations consisting in:

1. Providing a device (1) according to any preceding claim,
2. Unscrew the cap (3) from the container (2),
3. Completely extract the applicator (4) from the internal compartment (12),
4. Take cosmetic product with the application element (21),
5. Apply the sampled product to a body surface,
6. Close the device by screwing the cap (3) onto the container (2).
