Car for railway vehicle comprising at least one window transparent to telecommunication waves and at least one window opaque to telecommunication waves, and associated railway vehicle

The present invention relates to a car for a railway vehicle, comprising a plurality of windows, each window comprising a glazing, the plurality of windows comprising at least one window transparent to waves, the glazing of which is transparent to telecommunication waves.

Such a car commonly forms part of a railway vehicle. Windows transparent to telecommunication waves allow passengers to receive telecommunication signals in order to communicate with the exterior of the rail vehicle during their journeys in the rail vehicle. Such windows allow passengers in particular to make or receive telephone calls using their mobile telephones.

Such a car does not give complete satisfaction. Indeed, the car often has a “silent” zone in which passengers are supposed to minimize their noise level. However, some passengers violate this rule by making loud phone calls, which disturb other passengers in the “quiet” zone.

An object of the present invention is to provide a car making it possible to keep silence in its certain zones while retaining the possibility of communicating with the exterior of the railway vehicle.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a car of the aforementioned type, in which the plurality of windows also comprises at least one window opaque to waves, the glazing of which is capable of preventing the transmission of telecommunication waves.

In particular embodiments of the invention, the car also has one or more of the following characteristics, taken separately or in any technically possible combination(s):

- the car has two sets of transparent window(s), respectively two sets of opaque window(s), and a set of opaque window(s), respectively a set of window(s) transparent(s), the sets of transparent window(s) and of opaque window(s) being arranged on the same wall of the car in the longitudinal direction of the car, each set of transparent window(s) (s), respectively of opaque window(s), consisting of adjacent transparent window(s), respectively of adjacent opaque window(s),

the set of opaque window(s), respectively the set of transparent window(s) being interposed between the two sets of transparent window(s), respectively the two sets of window(s) ) opaque(s);

- the car has at least a first passenger zone and at least a second passenger zone, the first zone comprising all of the transparent window(s), and/or the second zone comprising all of the window(s) opaque(s);

- the first zone is intended to allow passengers to make telephone calls;

- the second zone comprises a plurality of passenger seats;

- the width of the transparent window is greater than 1300mm;

In the following description, the term transparent to telecommunication waves means a state in which the window is transparent or quasi-transparent to telecommunication waves, for example has a signal attenuation level between 0dB and 10dB for the frequency ranges that correspond to 3G, 4G, and 5G signals. In addition, the term opaque to telecommunication waves designates a state in which the window is opaque or quasi-opaque for telecommunication waves, for example has a signal attenuation level of between 15dB and 35dB for the ranges of frequencies that correspond to 3G, 4G, and 5G signals.

In addition, in the following, the orientation terms are understood to refer to the usual orientation marker for railway vehicles, shown in Figures 1 and 2, and in which we distinguish:

- a longitudinal axis X, oriented from the rear to the front, according to the direction of travel of the car,

Referring to Figure 1, the railway vehicle 10 comprises at least one car 12, and two adjacent cars (not shown in the Figures) arranged on either side of the car 12.

Car 12 has at least one transparent window 14 and at least one opaque window 16, as will be described later. Adjacent cars have no transparent window 14.

Car 12 has a high level 20 and a low level 22, each intended to receive passengers.

Car 12 also has a staircase 24 connecting the high level 20 to the low level 22. The staircase 24 leads to the high level 20 on a vestibule 26.

The upper level 20 comprises a plurality of windows, each window comprising a glazing. The plurality of windows comprises at least one wave-transparent window 14 whose glazing is transparent to telecommunication waves, and at least one wave-opaque window 16 whose glazing is able to prevent the transmission of telecommunication waves, as defined upper.

Advantageously, the width of the transparent window 14 is greater than 1300mm. This allows a higher luminosity in the car 12, in particular at the level of the staircase 24 and the vestibule 26, which facilitates the movements of the passengers.

According to the embodiment of the invention shown in the Figures, the high level 20 comprises at least a first passenger zone 30 and at least a second passenger zone 32.

The first zone 30 comprises all of the transparent window(s) 14, and/or the second zone 32 comprises all of the opaque window(s) 16.

The first zone 30 is in particular intended to allow passengers to make telephone calls.

For example, the first zone 30 is constituted by the vestibule 26.

According to one embodiment, the first zone 30 comprises a luggage rack intended to receive the passengers' luggage.

According to a particular embodiment, the first zone 30 comprises at least one seat intended for example to be used by a passenger making a telephone call.

The second zone 32 is in particular intended to prevent passengers from making telephone calls to ensure silence in the second zone 32. It corresponds for example to the silent zones of a railway vehicle.

The second zone 32 comprises a plurality of passenger seats 34.

The vestibule 26 comprises at least one transparent window 14 arranged on a wall of the vestibule 26. The vestibule 26 constitutes for example the first zone 30.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the car 12 comprises at least at least two sets of transparent window(s) 14, and at least one set of opaque window(s) 16. The sets window(s) transparent(s) 14 and window(s) opaque(s) 16 are arranged on the same wall of the car 12 in the longitudinal direction of the car. The set of window(s) opaque(s) 16 is interposed between two sets of window(s) transparent(s) 14. Each set of window(s) opaque(s) or transparent(s) consists only of window(s) (s) opaque (s) or transparent (s) respectively adjacent to each other. In other words, each set of opaque or transparent window(s) consists either of a single opaque or transparent window respectively, or of several consecutive opaque or transparent windows in the longitudinal direction.

As a variant embodiment, the car 12 comprises at least two sets of opaque window(s) 16, and at least one set of transparent window(s) 14. The sets of transparent window(s) ) 14 and window (s) opaque (s) 16 are arranged on the same wall of the car 12 in the longitudinal direction of the car. The set of transparent window(s) 14 is interposed between two sets of opaque window(s) 16.

According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the transparent 14 and opaque 16 windows are arranged alternately.

The invention described above makes it possible to maintain the tranquility of the passengers during the journey by preventing sound disturbances due to telephone calls in the second zone 32, while offering the passengers the possibility of contacting the exterior of the railway vehicle in the first area 30.
