Abstract

Ce panneau comprend au moins deux plaques en matière transparente (1 ; 2) accolées l’une à l’autre par leurs faces internes (11 ; 21), tandis que leur face externe (10 ; 20) est libre ; l’une (1) de ces plaques, de préférence colorée, porte un premier motif gravé sur sa face externe (10), tandis que sur l’autre plaque (2) est peint un second motif, différent du premier, une surface translucide étant en outre interposée entre les deux plaques (1,2), par exemple par suite du dépolissage de la face interne de la première plaque (1). Ainsi, lorsque la première plaque (1) est exposée à un rayonnement lumineux (L), le premier motif gravé est parfaitement lisible en éclairage direct pour un observateur situé du même côté que la source lumineuse, tandis que pour un observateur situé de l’autre côté, orienté à l’ombre, c’est le second motif qui lui est nettement lisible, par rétro-éclairage. L’invention s’applique notamment au domaine des vitraux. Thus, when the first plate (1) is exposed to light radiation (L), the first engraved pattern is perfectly readable in direct lighting for an observer located on the same side as the light source, while for an observer located on the on the other hand, oriented in the shade, it is the second motif which is clearly legible, by backlighting.
