Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé de commande d'un débit d'agent réducteur à base d'urée en amont d'un catalyseur de réduction sélective des oxydes d'azote qui est monté à l'échappement d'un moteur à combustion interne, et qui est associé à son aval à un piège à ammoniac. Le débit d'agent réducteur est commandé de manière à provoquer une fuite d'ammoniac contrôlée à l'aval du catalyseur. Cette fuite est la seule source de réducteurs entrant dans le piège à ammoniac qui n'est par ailleurs alimenté en agent réducteur par aucun réservoir. Selon l'invention, la fuite est asservie à la masse d'ammoniac stockée dans le piège. En maîtrisant la valeur de la masse d'ammoniac dans le piège, on peut maîtriser l'efficacité de traitement de celui-ci et optimiser l'efficacité globale de l'association du catalyseur et du piège.
