Ce serveur (200) comporte : - un module de réception (221, 222, 223) d'une requête conforme au protocole HTTP ou HTTPS (RQi) émise par le dispositif client (100) ; - un module de génération d'une réponse (RPi) à ladite requête et conforme au même protocole ; et - un module d'envoi (221, 222, 223) de ladite réponse (RPi) à destination dudit dispositif client (100), ladite réponse (RPi) comportant l'instant d'envoi de ladite réponse par le dispositif serveur (200) et l'instant de réception de la requête (RQi) par ledit dispositif serveur (RPi). Le client (100) utilise ces instants pour calculer un temps d'aller-retour correspondant au temps de trajet de la requête cumulé au temps de trajet de la réponse dans le réseau.This server (200) comprises: - a reception module (221, 222, 223) of a request conforming to the HTTP or HTTPS protocol (RQi) sent by the client device (100); - a module for generating a response (RPi) to said request and conforming to the same protocol; and a module for sending (221, 222, 223) of said response (RPi) to said client device (100), said response (RPi) comprising the instant of sending of said response by the server device (200 ) and the instant of receipt of the request (RQi) by said server device (RPi). The client (100) uses these instants to calculate a round trip time corresponding to the journey time of the request accumulated to the journey time of the response in the network.
