The present invention relates to a device for packaging and applying a product, in particular a cosmetic or care product, comprising a container containing the product to be applied and an application member which can be loaded with product by being immersed in the container. .

Such devices are conventionally provided with a wringing device, also called a wringer, which can be fixed on the neck of the container, and which makes it possible to wipe the application member and the rod which carries it during their extraction from the container. .

Various wiping devices have been proposed in particular in order to adapt to the nature of the application member and to the desired makeup.

The choice of material in which the wringing device is made responds to a compromise between two contradictory requirements.

On the one hand, the wringing device must be rigid enough so that its holding in the neck ensures satisfactory fixing. On the other hand, the wringing device must be flexible enough to be able to deform as the applicator member passes.

Finally, the wringing device must also contribute in certain cases to sealing the closure of the container.

To respond to this problem, it has been proposed to produce the wringing device with several materials of different hardnesses.

Patent LR 3005835 thus describes a wringing device composed of two parts of different rigidities, with a first part provided with a wiping lip made of a material more flexible than the other part, which is used for fixing in the collar. The two parts are pre-assembled before assembly of the assembly in the neck of the container.

The most flexible part has a mounting skirt engaged in an annular groove formed on the most rigid part, the two parts being held by friction between them. The wringing device is set up automatically.

It sometimes happens that the second part, the most flexible, moves relatively to the first after pre-assembly and before fixing in the neck. The second part can thus be poorly positioned after assembly of the assembly in the neck, which can compromise its immobilization on the neck and the quality of the wringing, or even cause a leak in the closure of the container.

French patent application FR 2 679 113 discloses a wringing device comprising a wringing part and a part used for fixing the wringing device to the neck of the container.

The spinning part is configured to be snapped onto the fixing part.

This snap-fastening can take place before the fixing part is mounted on the container.

In an exemplary embodiment, a radial clearance is provided around the region of the wiping part which snaps onto the fixing part.

Patent FR 2 865 911 also discloses a wiping device in two parts, which are, in their final configuration before fixing the wiping device, in the neck of the container.

The wiping part can be fixed on the fixing part using a relief such as a bead or a groove present on the external surface of the fixing part.

Patent application FR 2 855 380 discloses a similar spinning device, in two parts.

There is thus a need to further improve the wiping devices formed from several parts, in particular in order to guarantee the reliability of the assembly and the wiping performance during the use of the conditioning device as well as the tightness of the closure. container, if applicable.

The invention aims to meet this need, and it achieves this, according to one of its aspects, thanks to a device for packaging and applying a product, comprising:

- a container containing the product and having a neck,

- an applicator comprising an application member carried by a rod, and

- a spinning device comprising:

- a wringing part to wipe the applicator member and the rod as they exit the container, and

a fixing part of the wiping device in the neck of the container, one of the fixing part and the wiping part comprising an outer skirt and an inner skirt defining between them an annular groove, the other of the fixing part and the wringing part comprising a mounting skirt engaged in said groove, at least one of the outer and inner skirts being applied against the mounting skirt at least when the wringing device is in the mounted configuration in the neck and at least one of the supporting skirts having a relief engaging on the other skirt in this configuration to oppose a detachment of the fixing part and the wringing part, the parts of fixing and wringing being arranged to allow a pre-assembly of the wringing device before its mounting in the neck, the outer skirt being deformed radially inward by the neck during mounting age of the wringing device in the neck.

Thanks to the invention, the wiping part is reliably fixed on the fixing part from the pre-assembly phase, before mounting in the neck.

The possibility of pre-assembly of the fixing and wiping parts before mounting the assembly on the container facilitates the handling of the wiping device.

In particular, it can be placed on the container in a single operation by insertion into the neck of the container.

The fact that the outer skirt is deformed radially inwards by the neck when the device is mounted in the neck guarantees reliable fixing of the wiping part in the container.

This firm holding of the wringing part on the fixing part can be carried out without making the two parts difficult to pre-appear.

A satisfactory compromise is thus obtained between on the one hand the ease of pre-assembly of the two parts and, on the other hand, the reliability of the holding of the wiping part in the container, due to the high mechanical strength of the assembly. when the device is in place in the cervix.

The invention also makes it possible, if desired, to use a relatively soft material to make the wiping part, nevertheless firmly fixed in the container due to the aforementioned deformation of the outer skirt.

Unlike the wringing devices in which the two parts, once assembled before installation on the container, are in their final configuration, there is in the invention deformation of the outer skirt between the preassembly configuration and the final configuration in the container neck.

The deformation of the outer skirt can be accompanied by a bending of the latter at its base. Thus, the outer skirt can pivot slightly inward, further strengthening the strength of the assembly.

The deformation of the outer skirt can be carried out by pressing it on the upper edge of the container neck, in particular on a beveled edge delimiting radially inward the opening of the neck.

In the event of poor pre-assembly of the fixing and wiping parts, in particular in the event of insufficient insertion of the wiping part in the fixing part, during the mounting in the container neck, the deformation of the outer skirt can be upset, which provides an easy means of detecting a poor pre-assembly, since, in this case, the fixing part engages little or not in the neck of the container.

Advantageously, said relief is formed by a bead projecting from the inner surface of the outer skirt. This bead allows, during the final assembly, the immobilization of the mounting skirt in the fixing part by deformation of the outer skirt.

Preferably, the outer skirt has between its free edge and said bead a groove open towards the mounting skirt.

Preferably, the mounting skirt has a bent zone, of outside diameter which passes through a maximum at a distance from its free edge.

This bent zone is preferably positioned axially between the bottom of the annular groove formed between the outer and inner skirts and said relief. It can thus participate in retaining the wringing part on the fixing part.

According to an advantageous embodiment, the mounting skirt bears on the inner surface of the outer skirt above the bent area. This can help immobilize the wringing part on the fixing part by wedging the outer and mounting skirts.

The free edge of the mounting skirt is advantageously at a distance from the bottom of the annular groove formed between the inner skirt and the outer skirt.

Preferably, the inner skirt has a chamfer bearing on the mounting skirt, in particular on a part of the mounting skirt located between the bent zone and the body of the wiping part. This can help immobilize the mounting skirt in the groove formed between the outer and inner skirts.

According to an advantageous characteristic, the inner skirt bears axially on a shoulder at the base of the mounting skirt. This allows precise positioning of the wringing part on the fixing part.

The outer skirt is preferably longer than the inner skirt.

The body of the wiping part can define with the mounting skirt, on the external surface of the body, an annular groove.

The fixing part comprises a body which can be of substantially cylindrical shape, provided at its upper end with a flange.

Preferably, the fixing part is made of a more rigid material than the wiping part.

The fixing part can be made of a thermoplastic material of the type

PE or TPE.

The spinning part can be made of an elastomer.

Advantageously, the body of the wiping part has a lower portion having at least one notch on its circumference, allowing the wiping part to be guided and transported easily on the assembly line.

The subject of the invention is also a wiping part for a wiping device according to the invention having a wiping lip for wiping the rod and the applicator member of an applicator engaged through the wiping device. wringing, the wringing lip being connected to a body surmounted by a mounting skirt on a fixing part serving to hold the device in the neck of the container, this mounting skirt having a bent zone defining a larger outside diameter of the skirt.

Another subject of the invention, according to another of its aspects, is a method of mounting a wringing device on a container, comprising:

the pre-assembly of the wringing part and the fixing part, so as to immobilize the mounting skirt of the wringing part in the annular groove of the fixing part formed between the inner and outer skirts thereof ci, and the introduction of the assembly thus assembled into the neck of the container, so as to deform the mounting skirt by pressing the relief of the outer skirt against the latter.

The packaging and application device 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a container 2 and an applicator 3 for applying the product contained in the container 2.

This product is a cosmetic, make-up or care product, and the applicator 3 comprises a rod 31 carrying at one end an application member 32, for applying the product and connecting at the other end to a gripping member. 33 which is also designed to constitute a closure member for the container 2.

In the example considered, the product contained in the container is a mascara and the applicator member 32 is a brush or a mascara comb, being for example produced by injection of thermoplastic material.

The container 2 comprises a body 20 provided with a threaded neck 21 on which the gripping member 33 can be screwed.

To wipe the rod 31 and the applicator member 32 during the extraction of the applicator 3 from the container 2, a wiping device 4 is present in the neck 21 of the container 2. This wiping device 4, shown in isolation in Figure 2, has an upper part (or fixing part 5), used for fixing in the neck 21 and a lower part 6 (or wiping part) provided with a wiping lip 61 which defines an opening 62 through which the applicator member 32 and the rod 31 can engage when the applicator 3 is fixed to the container 2.

The upper part 5 has at its upper end a collar 51, directed radially outwards, which bears on the upper edge of the neck 21 of the container. The flange formed by the flange can also, if necessary, contribute to the sealing of the closure of the container by being tightened by the gripping member 33 at the end of its screwing on the container.

The flange 51 may have an insertion chamfer 52 as illustrated.

The body 53 of the upper part 5 is divided downwards into an inner skirt 54 and an outer skirt 55 which define between them an annular groove 56. The outer skirt 55 has on its inner surface 57 an annular bead 58 which defines with its lower end 59 an annular groove 71. The latter is delimited above by a shoulder 72 and below by a slope 73 which converges inwardly approaching the lower end 59 of the outer skirt. The shoulder is oriented substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X of the wringing device 4.

The outer skirt 55 has, above the bead 58, a surface which is inclined inwards and towards the bottom of the groove 56, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 5.

The region of larger outside diameter of the outer skirt 55 is located along the axis X, substantially at the level of the bead 58, in the example considered.

The internal skirt 54 has a radially internal surface which is offset towards the axis X relative to the internal surface 75 of the body 53 of the fixing part, with a slope 76 connecting the surfaces 77 and 75. In the example considered, the surface 77 is substantially parallel to the axis X.

The radially outer surface 81 of the inner skirt 54 has a portion which is substantially parallel to the axis X, terminated downwards by a chamfer 83 defining with the substantially cylindrical portion 84 an edge 85.

The outer skirt 55 extends axially further than the inner skirt 54.

The lower part 6 of the wiping device 4 comprises a body 63 which carries the wiping lip 61 and which is extended at its upper end by a mounting skirt 65 which is arranged to engage in the groove 56 of the part upper 5 when the two parts are assembled, as illustrated in FIG. 2.

The mounting skirt 65 cleans with the body 63, at its base, a shoulder 69 against which bears the lower end of the inner skirt 54, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 3.

The fixing skirt 65 has a bent shape, with a lower portion 91 which extends radially outwards in the direction of the upper part, and an upper portion 92 which forms with the lower portion a bent zone 93, the upper portion 92 extending substantially parallel to the X axis, with an inner surface 94 substantially parallel to the X axis and an outer surface 95 generally converging towards the X axis and towards the upper end of the fixing skirt 65. The bent zone 93 defines a region of larger outside diameter of the fixing skirt 65.

The wall of the body 63 can, as illustrated, be thicker in a region 100 situated under the fixing skirt and the thickness of the body can decrease towards the lower end of the lower part.

In the example illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 14, the wiping lip 61 has a wavy shape, generally extending obliquely inwards and towards the lower end of the lower part 6, the invention being however not limited to a particular shape of the wiping lip.

The lower part can be made with at least one notch useful for positioning the lower part on the assembly line. In the example considered, the body 63 is thus produced with two diametrically opposite notches 110, of rectangular outline, extending over a portion of the body from its lower end which is substantially of constant thickness, the bottom of the notch being located below the level of the lower end of the wiping lip.

The thickened part of the body 63 defines with the fixing skirt 65, on the external surface of the body, an annular groove 120.

The upper part 5 is made of a more rigid material than the lower part 6, the two parts being preferably each produced by injection of thermoplastic material.

The upper 5 and lower 6 parts are designed so that they can be pre-assembled before fixing the assembly in the neck of the container.

More particularly, as illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5, the inside diameter of the lower end part of the outer skirt 55 has a diameter which is preferably slightly less than the largest outside diameter of the fixing skirt 65, such so that the establishment of the upper part 5 on the lower part 6 is accompanied by an elastic deformation of the outer skirt 55 to allow it to cross the bent area 93 of the fixing skirt 65 and thus ensure the two pieces held together. The pre-assembly consists in axially driving in the fixing skirt 65 inside the annular groove 56 until the abutment of the internal skirt 54 against the shoulder 69. At the end of this insertion, the upper part of the skirt fixing 65 comes to bear, as visible in particular in Figure 3, against the oblique inner surface of the outer skirt 55, which ensures by wedging the maintenance of the lower part 6 on the upper part 5 and makes it difficult to separate the two parts, even in the event of a thrust exerted on the lower part 6, for example due to an offset re-introduction of the applicator into the container.

It can be seen in FIG. 14 in particular that when the fixing skirt 65 is in place in the groove 56, there remains an axial play k, this play making it possible to absorb the manufacturing tolerances and to ensure that during the pre-assembly, the internal skirt 54 bears well on the shoulder 69 at the base of the fixing skirt 65.

Of course, the invention is not limited to a particular embodiment of the mounting skirt 65.

By way of example, there is shown in FIGS. 17 and 18 a variant of lower part 6 in which the mounting skirt 65 is in the form of a cone extending downwards the body 63 of the lower part 6, other embodiments can also be implemented.

The invention is also not limited to a wringing device for which the upper fixing part in the neck is symmetrical in revolution. In particular, the cross section of the body can be non-circular, for example oblong, in particular oval or elliptical.

The upper and lower parts may be given other shapes, in particular at the level of the portions used for fixing one inside the other, without going beyond the ambit of the present invention.

The relief 58 may be angularly discontinuous, so as to be in the form of teeth for example.

Claims (18)

1. Device (1) for packaging and applying a product, comprising: - a container (2) containing the product and having a neck (21), - an applicator (3) comprising an application member (32) carried by a rod (31), and - a wringing device (4) comprising: - a wiping part (6) for wiping the applicator member (32) and the rod (31) at their outlet from the container (2), and - a fixing part (5) of the wiping device (4) in the neck (21) of the container (2), One of the fixing part (5) and of the wiping part comprising an outer skirt (55) and an inner skirt (54) defining between them an annular groove (56), the other of the fixing part and the wiping part (6) comprising a mounting skirt (65) engaged in said groove (56), At least one of the outer (55) and inner (54) skirts being applied against the mounting skirt (65) at least when the wringing device (4) is in the configuration mounted in the neck (21) and at least one of the supporting skirts (54,55) comprising a relief (58) engaging on the other skirt (65) in this configuration to oppose a detachment of the fixing part (5) and the wringing part (6), the fixing (5) and wiping (6) parts being arranged to allow pre-assembly of the wiping device (4) before mounting in the neck (21), the outer skirt (55) being deformed radially inward through the neck (21) when mounting the wiper device (4) in the neck (21). 2. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, the free edge of the mounting skirt (65) being at a distance from the bottom of the annular groove (56) formed between the inner skirt (54) and the outer skirt (55). 8. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, the inner skirt (54) having a chamfer (83) bearing on the mounting skirt (65). 9. Device (1) according to the preceding claim, said chamfer (83) coming to bear on a part of the mounting skirt (65) located between the bent zone (93) and the body (63) of the wiping part (6). 10.
