Abstract

The invention makes it possible to grip a balloon or any spherical object on a support, or not, in order to facilitate its transport, its storage or its exposure, and to allow certain forms of play. It consists of straps (1, 2, 6 , 7, 12, 15) and a clip clasp (3, 4). The arrangement of a portion of the straps (1, 2, 12) makes it possible to cover a quarter of the balloon (5); at each end of this quarter, other straps (6, 7) provided with clasp clips (3,4) close the device around the balloon. The user can quickly grip the spherical object on itself or against a support, by clipping and tightening the device, and release it just as quickly, by unclipping it The device according to the invention is particularly intended to clamp and secure a balloon, or any spherical object, to facilitate its use in all circumstances.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for clamping and securing a balloon, or any other spherical object, to facilitate its transport or storage, and allow certain forms of play or training; it is a versatile device in the sense that it can be used with a rigid or flexible support, mobile or not, small or large, and even without support at all, and allow in all circumstances a controlled hold, and better accessibility. Until now, for transportation, you had to keep the ball in your hands or arms, or put it in a bag or net, or even sometimes deflate it so that it can fit into the baggage.

For storage, it had until now put the ball in bins or nets, or put it on furniture, shelves, or wall lights in the form of a circle, but it was not stowed.

For the game, the ball was always free, which is good too; now it can be bridled for some forms of training

The ball, when not played, therefore remains bulky and embarrassing, even dangerous during transport, because it is not maintained.

The device of the invention overcomes all of these disadvantages by allowing to clamp and secure any balloon or spherical object; it offers a solid, fast, effective, controlled, and a perfect accessibility in all circumstances.

The device consists of an assembly of straps, a clip clasp, a loop, and only for some models, a clamping loop.

Here is a brief presentation of the accompanying drawings illustrating the invention, to which reference may be made during the description to follow: - Figures 1, 2, and 4 describe the process of arranging the first straps. - Figure 3 shows the uncluttered area of the body of the device, putting forward its axial disposition. - Figure 5 shows the flat model "type" football ball holder and / or basket shown below. In order to be clear, I first describe a model for a standard adult size football, size 5. The circumference of this ball, according to the IFAB (International Football Association Board), is between 68 and 70 cm, a diameter D of about 22 cm.

For my model, I choose to use a polypropylene strap 2.5 cm wide and 2 mm thick, and sew the elements of my device, knowing that they can also be fixed by being glued, heat-bonded, or crimped.

First two straps (1, 2), the median length is 35.5 cm, corresponding to the half circumference of the balloon to which I added a few millimeters compensating the thickness of the strap ((70cm: 2) + ^ 0.5cm = 35.5cm), are cut at their ends at 45 ° (a) (Figl). Once assembled and sewn (Fig. 2-a; Fig. 4-a), the two straps include a quarter of the balloon. At this point, an imaginary line in the center of the balloon passes through the centers of intersection of the straps (Fig. 3). I cut the two tips obtained at their ends, perpendicular to the median axis, so as to obtain a section equal to the width of a strap (2.5 cm) (Fig 2-a and 2-b, Fig. 4 -a, 4-b and 4-c).

A third strap (12), whose size x for this model is equal to a quarter of the circumference of the balloon, to which I also add a few millimeters to compensate for the thickness of the strap, ie = 17.7 cm (( 70: 4) + 0.2 = 17.7 cm), is attached (sewn) to the centers (13) of each of the two previous straps (Fig. 4- d).

In the median axis of the body of the device (Fig. 2-d), a fourth strap (6) of 9 cm for this model, folded so as to insert the female loop (3) closer to the body of the device, is assembled at the latter and sewn. At the other end of this central axis is sewn a fifth strap (7) called "loin", one meter and twenty centimeters long for this model (Fig 2-c). A male clip (4), type backpack tightening loop, is inserted on this lanyard (Fig. 5). At the other end of this lanyard, a portion of the strap is folded and sewn on itself to form a handle (8).

A sixth small strap, of a length equal to about two and a half times the width of the strap, is folded and sewn on itself so as to form a loop (15) which is slipped on the lanyard, between the body of the device (5) and the male clip (4). Note that the length of the lanyard (7) does not have a direct impact on the quality of the clamping of the balloon but depends on the use made of it

In the following lines, I describe the tie-up of this carrier to the bicycle rack of a bicycle (Fig. 11): - Put the balloon on the luggage rack - Slide the strap (7) or lanyard under the luggage rack - Place the body of the device (5 or 9) flat on the balloon - Bring the male (4) and female (3) clips close to the clasp - Clip the buckles - Tighten the strap (7) to hold the whole in tension (Fig. 14)

To recover the ball, just unclip the clasp, and if we must replace the ball afterwards in the same place, just reclip the loops, without the need to tighten the straps.

For balls of other sports (handball, volleyball, water polo, etc ...), of all sizes, a specific model is otherwise necessary, at least recommended, and the measures applicable to the realization of the carrier-balloons result from the knowledge of the diameter D (or the circumference of the balloon) and the choice of the angle a determining the surface of the body of the device which includes the balloon forming a quarter.

Thus, the circumference of a circle being obtained by multiplying the diameter D by π, once we have chosen the angle determining the quarter (body of the device) encompassing the ball, a rule of three (Fig. 6) allows us to get the x length of the cross strap. The arrangement of the two main straps (1, 2) can therefore vary; at the ends, their angles can range from a few degrees to a little less than 90 °, and the transverse strap (12) vary from a few centimeters to the quasi-half circumference of the balloon.

Example: I choose angles a of 60 ° so as to include a third of the balloon. For a basketball of size 7 whose official diameter D is around 24,5cm, I get according to the formula, a transverse strap (12) of

, value to which I added a few millimeters compensating for the thickness of the strap, or 38.8 cm. The length of the lanyard, as we have seen, does not directly affect the grip of the balloon, can measure one meter, or more, or less.

These two ball carriers that I just described seem to me to have optimal measures, but they can be modulated to use.

An illustrated variant (FIG 7) is characterized in that the body of the device with 2 straps (5) is replaced by a body of the device with a single strap (9) closed on itself by a control loop (10) , thus forming a circumferentially adjustable circle, which makes it possible to enclose balloons or spherical objects of all sizes. It is particularly suitable for clipping hats (Fig. 9). The lanyard of this variant is no longer necessarily attached to the body of the device; it can be folded and sewn at one of its ends to form a loop (11) sliding on the adjustable strap (9). As can be seen in FIG. 9, the female loop is no longer necessarily attached to the nearest body of the device. In order to avoid the entanglement of straps, I imagined to fix (sew) a portion of strap (14) which limits the mobility of the loop (11) of the lanyard inserting the male clip (4) (Fig. 8).

According to a variant not shown, the strap (6) inserting the female buckle is not necessarily attached to the closest to the body of the device (5 or 9) in order to best adapt to the clamping of certain spherical objects such as helmets. motorcycle or rider bombs. I chose polypropylene for the soccer ball holder, but the nature of the straps can be cotton, or other material. The choice is made according to the object intended to be clamped or stowed. Thus, because of the strong grip of the basketball, I favor cotton that slides better around the ball.

According to a variant not shown, the length of the lanyard (7) is left to the discretion of the manufacturer, this length does not have a direct impact on the quality of the clamping. It will depend on the use that is reserved for the carrier.

An illustrated variant (FIG 10) is characterized in that the carrier of the carrier is an integral part of the lanyard (7). The portion of the lanyard (7) from the body of the device is cut, then secured (Fig. 10) (16) to the support, and the remaining portion of the lanyard is secured (16) to another location on the support for Closing the spherical object (Fig.10). This integration of the device to the support is particularly suitable for sports bags, which can thus carry one or more balloons without cluttering the inside of the bags.

The present invention is initially intended to clamp and secure a balloon, but it may be suitable, as we have seen, according to the previously discussed arrangements, other spherical objects, such as motorcycle helmets, or bicycle, bombs riders, hats, etc.

The holder can be used on any support: bicycle (Fig. 11 and 12), motorcycle saddle, backpack (Fig. 10 and 13), travel bag, sports bag, etc ...

It can be used to expose one or more balloons in a sports shop, stowing them on any bar (Fig. 18), or any object (Fig. 19), by spreading them around a staircase on the ramp bars (Fig. 20), etc.

The holder can be used without support (Fig. 21); it can be carried on the shoulder (Fig. 15), hooked to a coat rack (Fig. 16) or a hook, in several copies in front of the store, or used for foot juggling exercises (Fig. 17), and other forms of sports training.

In multiple copies, it can replace the nets of football clubs, with the advantage of the opportunity to detach and hang up the ball of his choice.

Destined by its use to be very visible, it can be an effective support for advertising a brand, be in the colors of a football club or basketball, decorated by an artist, stylist ...

Claims (7)
