Abstract
Translucent anti-U.V. with lateral pressure system for the protection of photosensitive injection solutions in medical bags against photodegradation during transport and administration. The invention relates to a device whose opening and closing operations are performed by a pressure system (1) without deterioration of personal protective equipment and without risk of contamination of the connection of the pocket. The translucent anti-U.V film. (4) which composes the device ensures the photoprotection of the contents of the pocket, while allowing the visualization of the progress of the administration and the mentions affixed on the labeling of the administered pocket. The eyelet (2) allows the suspension of the bag contained in the device. The device comprises a slot (3) for the passage of the connection of the pocket. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for photoprotection and transport of photosensitive injectable solutions.
Description
The present invention relates to an overpack device for the photoprotection and transport of photosensitive injectable solutions contained in pouches for medical use. The protection and transport of these solutions are traditionally carried out using overwrapping devices not provided with a slot for the passage of the connection of the pocket and an eyelet for the suspension of the pocket during its administration. . Thus, these devices do not allow the protection of photosensitive injectable solutions contained in pockets for medical use during their administration.
In addition, other devices are equipped with a pressure closure located on the upper part of the device, and in a manner opposite to the slot for the passage of the connection of the pocket. This configuration creates a risk of contamination of the connection of the pocket when it is introduced into the device. Some overpack devices, provided with a slot for the passage of the pocket connector and a suspension eyelet, are equipped with a self-adhesive strip for closing the device located on the upper part. This self-adhesive tape adheres to the personal protective equipment of the manipulators, which creates a risk of deterioration of equipment. The devices mentioned above are composed of an opaque film for the protection of injectable solutions against photo-degradation. This opaque film does not allow to visualize the progress of the administration as well as the mentions appearing on the labeling affixed on the administered pocket. The device according to the invention overcomes these disadvantages. It comprises a pressure closure positioned laterally and a slot for the passage of the connector pocket: thus, the user proceeds to the opening of the device by the pressure system, then to the introduction of the bag in the device laterally, taking care to introduce the connection of the bag into the slot provided for this purpose, and finally, closing the device by the pressure system. The translucent anti-U.V film. The device provides for the protection of photosensitive drugs against photo-degradation. Moreover, the transparency of the film makes it possible to visualize the progress of the administration as well as the mentions appearing on the labeling affixed on the administered pocket. The attached drawing illustrates the invention: FIG. 1 represents a diagram of the device of the invention.
With reference to this diagram, the device comprises: a laterally positioned pressure system (1) for opening and closing operations of the device. - An eyelet (2), located on the upper part of the device, for the suspension of the bag contained in the device, during the administration of the contents of the pocket for medical use. - A slot (3), located on the lower part of the device for the passage of the connector of the pocket for medical use. - A translucent film with anti-U.V filter. (4) for the protection of photosensitive injectable solutions contained in pouches for medical use against photo-degradation. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the protection of photosensitive injectable solutions contained in bags for medical use against photo-degradation during transport and administration. The transparency of the film makes it possible to visualize the progress of the administration as well as the mentions appearing on the labeling affixed to the pocket for medical use administered.
