Abstract
The present invention relates to a technical improvement made to orthopedic corsets made of thermoformed polyethylene plastic manufactured manually to facilitate their gripping by the patient or by the medical staff during their installation or subsequent adjustment. The invention consists in applying flexible polypropylene webbing handles sheathed with heat-shrinkable polyethylene in the sagittal plane at the hips.
Description
The present invention relates to a technical improvement made to orthopedic corsets made of thermoformed polyethylene plastic manufactured manually to facilitate their grip by the patient or by the medical staff during their installation or subsequent adjustment. The invention consists in applying flexible polypropylene webbing handles sheathed with heat-shrinkable polyethylene in the sagittal plane at the hips. Indication of the Technical Field The technical field relates to the technical aid of orthopedic apparatus for the adjustment on the patient of trunk brace. Orthopedic corset therapy is ideally suited for column fractures, vertebral fractures, lumbago, or other sciatica, kyphosis or scoliosis, childhood diseases. This consists in making tailor-made corsets, perfectly adapted to the morphology of the patient. Wearing such corsets, varies from a few weeks to several months, even a few years. The goal for an orthopedicist is to forget the wearing of this corset to the patient and therefore maximize comfort. The positioning of the corset then becomes key because the adjustment is often necessary during the day and / or night. The invention of coated flexible handles, therefore facilitates this port. STATE OF THE ART To date, corsets are made without flexible handles, or other positioning aid. The adjustment of the trunk brace can not be done optimally without accompanying device for the patient. The adjustment is most often with the help of the medical staff, but the patient can not really adjust himself. Therefore, the installation of a modular fastening system, is advantageous. Without this device, the patient suffering from the column must call the medical staff when he is still in the hospital, or his family. The installation of the brace must also be optimal to ensure healing of the patient as soon as possible by orienting the vertebra (s) favorably. Knowing that a corset is worn for at least 3 months, it is therefore imperative daily to provide an adjustment device for the patient to slide both hands on the corset directly for the purpose of gripping to facilitate its implementation. square. Technical solution The technical solution consists of: The installation of flexible handles, horizontal or vertical longiline; polypropylene webbing or derived fabrics, or any other flexible support; coated with heat-shrinkable polyethylene. The creation of handles by openwork in the material of the corset. The method of fixing relative to the flexible handles can be: - Not removable: fixing by rivet, or by insert and screw, or by screw / washer / nut. Removable: snap fastener, perforated axle with washer and pin.

Description of the figures Figure 1 - Orthopedic corset with coated flexible handle general view Figure 2 - Coated flexible handle detail Figure 3 - Coated flexible handle detail, close-up view Beneficial effects As a result of this device, the adjustment of the corset can be performed at will by the patient himself. There is no need to call a nurse or any other person. Several beneficial effects are expected by this invention: - First of all at the patient level, for its comfort and autonomy, - Then, for the medical staff, in terms of saving time.
