Abstract

The snap hook (1) has a clipping area (10) comprising an opening (11) and a pivot pin (3). The clipping area is supported on a body (2) that is designed in an s-shaped. The body forms another clipping area (9) that is closed by another pivot pin (4), where the opening of the pivot pins is performed in opposite directions. The clipping areas are connected with one another by a cross-belt, where the pivot pins are independently locked by safety systems (7, 8) by using screw, mechanical or magnetic operation. The pivot pins are designed in identical form.

Description

The present invention relates to the field of devices and accessories for the practice of activities such as climbing, mountaineering, mountain climbing, canyoning, caving, aerial hiking, pruning and acrobatic work or in height in the context of sports and professional activities. The invention relates to a carabiner, more precisely a double 10 carabiner. Even if the concept of double carabiner already exists, for example described in the document FR2847481, the particularity of the present invention is that there is complete dissociation between the two parts with the possibility for each of these parts to assume a complete and different mission, all without having to return the carabiner on itself to install and put it into service. The present invention does not seek to manage the guidance of the rope after its exit from the belay system, which is the role of the invention FR2847481. Our present invention simplifies the installation of a belay system on a harness. Firstly, thanks to the first part that is snap-fastened, the user fixes the carabiner to the harness and locks this binding, then it is with the other part that the user will fix his belay system. This system prohibits any interference between the insurance system and the place in the karabiner where the harness is connected, since this concerns two distinct functional spaces, without any possible communication. Thus, it is possible to move the entire system from one shoulder belt to another without having to touch the installation of the rope in the belay system. Similarly, it is possible to change the belay system without changing the connection to the harness. - The system also allows the anti-rollover of the carabiner on itself, once it is attached to the harness or anything else. These benefits are not borne by all previous inventions that require either to return the carabiner on itself to install a belay system after connecting to a harness, or use the same carabiner space to understand both the shoulder belt and the belay system (case of the invention FR2847481).

The purpose of dissociating the two sub-parts of the carabiner is achieved in accordance with the present invention by means of an accessory comprising a central metal body in the shape of an "S", each of the openings of the "S" being able to be closed by a movable finger which can be Locked.

Sur les figures 1 et 2, un double mousqueton (1) comporte un corps 2 métallique globalement en forme de « S ».The accessory of the invention is presented as the juxtaposition of two inverted karabiners. This inversion is double insofar as, if an opening is done upwards, the other will be downwards and at the same time, if an opening is made to the right down, the other will be to the left, in other words, the opening of the two fingers of the two sub-carabiners is in the opposite direction (right / left) and opposite (up / down). The characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge more clearly on reading the detailed description of the invention which follows, given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the appended figures in which: FIG. 1 represents the accessory of the invention; invention (1) with open movable fingers. - Figure 2 shows the accessory of Figure 1 with the movable fingers 30 closed and locked. - Figure 3 shows the accessory of Figure 1 connected in its lower half-part to a shoulder belt and in its upper half a belay system in operation with a rope. FIG. 4 represents a possible version of the accessory with symmetry, identity in shape and dimension of the two sub-parts. In Figures 1 and 2, a double carabiner (1) comprises a metal body 2 generally S-shaped.

The body 2 made of aluminum alloy or steel can be manufactured in forging, casting or folding; it can also be made of composite materials. This body 2 in "S" has two openings 11 and 12 which can be respectively closed by the fingers 3 and 4 pivoting, respectively, to the axes 5 and 6. The opening of the two pivoting fingers 3 and 4 are carried out in the opposite direction (right / left) and opposite (up / down).

Said fingers 3 and 4 may be independently locked by security systems 7 and 8: screw, bayonet, mechanical or magnetic operation. The spaces 9 and 10 constitute the mousquetorming spaces of the double carabiner, each of these parts behaving like a carabiner in their own right. Parts 9 and 10 can not communicate with each other. They are independent and yet secured to each other by the body 2. The spaces 9 and 10 define the two sub-parts, the carabiner's double hooking spaces. FIG. 3 shows the advantage of the existence of the two independent sub-parts 9 and 10, the portion 9 serving preferentially for the connection with a shoulder belt B, whereas the portion 10 serves to connect a belaying system SA used. with a rope C. In part 9 we can also consider connecting an anchor point on wall or cliff, while part 10 can be used to install a rope with or without a capstan knot, half capstan , Or other.

Les doigts 3 et 4 sont, dans cette configuration là, identiques aussi.FIG. 4 shows a model of the invention for which the two subparts defined by the squabbling spaces 9 and 10 are respectively identical in shape and size. The fingers 3 and 4 are, in this configuration, identical as well.
